Obituary of Jack Ragsdale

Jack A. Ragsdale, 77 of the Bloomingdale Community, Kingsport went to be with the Lord Tuesday evening, June 25, 2013. He was a retired truck driver for Quebecor and had 41 ½ years of service. He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Cofie Anderson Ragsdale, three brothers, T-model, Snook and Paul Ragsdale, and two sisters, Eva (Littlin) Ragsdale, Molly (Sister) Wright. Survivors, wife, Wanda Ragsdale of Kingsport; son, Bruce Ragsdale; daughter, Joyce Ragsdale Skelton and husband, Wes of Church Hill; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Rev. Phil Whittemore officiating, with a eulogy offered by Eddie Ragsdale. Interment in Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, 207 N. Boone St., Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN 37604. The family would like to express their special appreciation to Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elm Croft and Erwin Healthcare Center for their thoughtful and kind care of Jack during his illness. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Ragsdale family.
