Obituary of Carolyn Flynn

Carolyn (Bowlin) Flynn, 65, of Kingsport passed away at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness with cancer surrounded by family and friends. She was a member of Ketron Memorial United Methodist Church. Former member of the Kingsport Board of Realtors and was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sibyl Bowlin. She is survived by her husband, James (Danny) Flynn of Kingsport; daughter, Melissa Lowe and husband, John of Kingsport; granddaughter, Megan Metzcus of Johnson City; father, H.H. Bowlin, Jr. and wife, Eulah of Church Hill; brothers, Howard T. Bowlin and wife, Linda of Kingsport and Dale Bowlin and fiancé Renee of Knoxville; sister, Phyllis Murray and husband Cletes of Johnson City; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday May 27, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will follow at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donna Hester officiating. Music will be provided by Kim Lane and Cletes Murray. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday May, 28, 2013 at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Last Supper. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at 10:50 am at the cemetery Pallbearers will be Rev. Wayne McCarty, Ron Mosley, Gary Gibson, Ernie Stout, Toby Hutson, and Wesley Trent. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Shipstone and staff, also the staff of Kingsport Oncology and Hematology for all their care and support.
