Obituary of Ottie Louise Vicars

Ottie Louise "Granny" Vicars Marietta, Georgia - Ottie Louise "Granny" Vicars, 84, of Marietta, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, May 24, 2013. She died at Wellstar Tranquility Center in Kennesaw, Marietta, Georgia following a lengthy illness. She was born in Hiltons, Virginia, was a former resident of Kingsport, had lived in Marietta, Georgia for the past fifteen years. "Granny" was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great- great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Ms. Vicars was preceded in death by her parents, Bill & Savannah Meade Vicars; our father Bill Gilliam; sister, Ida Hilton and a granddaughter, Kellie Marie Hood. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mary Ann Jenkins and husband, Jim of Marietta, Georgia, Linda Gilliam of Gray, TN, Karen Simcox and husband, Richard of Church Hill, TN and Patty Jo Hicks and husband, Joe of Jonesborough, TN; two sons, Tony Gilliam, and Terry Gilliam and fiancé Stephanie Dolsen all of Church Hill; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a great granddaughter due in August. A Graveside service will be conducted at 11am Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor David Salley officiating.
