Obituary of Mildred Pauline Bellamy
Mildred Calhoun Bellamy, age 85, of Gate City, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport.
Mildred was a member of Chalybeate Springs United Methodist Church in Scott County and was a member of the Yuma Ruritan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edsel Bellamy; parents, Rev. Kyle and Edrie Calhoun; sister, Wilma June Shelton; twin brothers, Willie and Billy Calhoun.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Janet Reedy and husband, Allan, and Terry Arwood and husband, Gary; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Reedy and fiancé, Joshua Cole, Leslie Tate and husband, Aaron, Abram Arwood and wife, Alisha, and Austin Arwood and fiancé, Alex Fritz; 3 great-grandchildren, Kaylee Reedy, Emilee Tate and Colton Tate; nephew, Danny Wayne Shelton and wife, Fern; and special caregivers, Margaret Fleenor and Karen Ruskey.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Scott County Funeral home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jeff Deboard officiating and eulogists, Abram Arwood.
A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chalybeate Springs United Methodist Church or Yuma Ruritan.
