Obituary of Judy Gail Smith

Judy Gail Smith 61, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Indian Path Medical Center. She was born in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Ernest and Annis Yoakley. Judy was a lifelong resident of the area and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flowers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Anthony Smith; brother, Ernest Yoakley Jr. and wife Sheila; nieces, Crystal Hasting and husband James, Jessica Eddins and husband Wesley; nephew, Adam Yoakley; several great nieces and nephews; along with several aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. Music will be provided by the Hass family.

A graveside service will be conducted at Holston View Cemetery on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 11am with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15am to go in procession to the cemetery.
