Karen, We are sorry for your loss. We will miss Bill very much. I enjoyed talking to your Dad about electronics and was so glad that he enjoyed his little dogs and they gave him so much joy and comfort. He was always so kind and a great neighbor. May the Lord comfort and bless you. Penny, Al, Jenny and JJ

So very sorry for your loss. Bill and I worked together a lifetime ago at Eastman, when part of Engineering was in Bldg. 284. He was a great person and got me interested in learning to play the dulcimer. I still have the beautiful cherry instrument he made for me. Prayers of comfort for all. - Rita Quillen

I shared an office with Bill for a while on the 7th floor of engineering back in the late 70's and early 80's when I started my career. Enjoyed working with him and discussing our shared Scottish Heritage and I enjoyed his stories from his visits to Grandfather Mountain. He made the first present I gave to my then girlfriend and later wife.

Karen, I’m so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He was such a kind and wonderful person I thought the world of him. I gave him the nickname McKiller when I was very young when he and my dad Bob Ferrell would go to the Highland games. I also have a TV stand he made for me and my husband when we moved into our first home over 35 years ago, it looks as if he gave it to us yesterday. He and Nancy were special people in my life, I miss them both. They had a love for each other for the ages.

I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He and I had offices across from each other on the 7th floor of B-54D. I remember a lot of discussions about golf and particularly his Shopsmith and his wood working projects. I think he inspired me to get involved in wood working several years later. I also remember how proud he was to be of Scottish ancestry. He and Bob Ferrell would dress in their kilts and go over to Grandfather Mountain for the Highlands games. I remember several stories from his and Bob's trip over to Scotland - he was so impressed with how clean and neat the homes and roads and countryside was. Everyone in the 7th floor group loved Bill and he will be missed by what few of us are still around - that was back in the late 70's early 80's.

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked with him at Eastman and have several of his wood Christmas ornaments. I’m happy to know Kenie and Nancy will greet him in heaven.
