Doug was a wonderful friend not only to me but our family. He would come in and we would make pizzas. He lived out the other end of town from our family and was at our house and my daddy’s garage daily if he was messing with a car. So many memories may God comfort all of the family.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my great friend and mentor Doug Jackson. I spent 10 years working in Doug's pool business from high school through college. I never felt like I worked a day in my life when I was with him working. He taught me so much about life through his own personal stories and experiences. He always pushed me to do better whether it was school related or life related. Both Doug and Pauline had such a big impact on my life that when my first son was born we decided to name him Jackson in their honor. Though, I have lost touch over the years every time I say my son's name or hear his name called at an athletic event it brings a smile to my face. It makes me remember Doug and all the great times I had being around him. I know he is in a better place and I am just blessed that he was a part of my life. Pauline and Dougie, I am so sorry for your loss but I bet Doug is looking down and having a pack of orange peanut butter crackers today for lunch with a smile on his face. I love you guys and I cannot thank you enough for sharing your husband and dad with me. RIP Mr. Jackson, you will truly be missed.
