Obituary of Dayton E. Talley

Dayton E. Talley, 87, of Kingsport, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Wexford House after an extended illness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during WWII. He worked at Eastman Chemical Company for 37 years as an engineer. He was an avid golfer, a longtime member of the Eagles Club and enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved. He is survived by his loving wife, Flora; children, Bill Talley and wife Sue, and Jane Smith and husband Jimmy; step-son, Jeremy Fleming and wife Patti; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother, Robert Talley and wife Sue; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A private service will be held with the family at a later date. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Talley family.
