All day I have been able to close my eyes and see Uncle Curly's smile, hear his stories, his prayers, his songs, but most of all his I love you and I think you are a great girl, Bridgett. He always was so special to me and I treasure all of our shared stories and memories. Aunt Wilma, Diane, Beth, Ricky, and Timmy are in my thoughts and prayers. I love you and just wish I was there hugging you right now. Uncle Curly will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

Curly was not my brother in law but my brother. He has been In our family longer than me, so I grew up with him always being a part of my life. He has been so good to all of us and welcomed us into his home on thousands of occasions. He always worried about us coming in hungry and would tell Wilma (my beautiful n special sister) to fix us something to eat. He was a Godly man that lived what he talked. I have heard him walking thru the house or coming in the door singing his praises to his God all my life. I will miss him more than I can say. I loved him dearly. My heart, Love and prays are with my sister, nieces n nephews and their families. I love all of you so much!!

I know that words don't bring comfort to your hearts now but Curly had a big influence in many peoples lives! Unlike many now a days, he lived the Christian life and it showed. He was a living example and thats a wonderful thing to leave behind. Wilma, Beth, Diane, Tim, grandkids, and great-granddaughter may you find peace. Your husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather is waiting for you and singing in thr great choir. I love you all. Donna Maultbay

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THAT MAN!! I only knew him for a few years, but he made me smile and warmed my heart every time I seen him. He loved to aggravate me about "wearing a collar" so my "better half" could keep up with me. I will truly miss his random comments and singing at our church. Family, know that we will be praying for your comfort during this time.

Met Mr Maultbay at Beth's in Hilton Head only once when I stayed over at the Coles one night in route to Florida. We discussed the VA hospital and I told him how much I liked the facility. A really nice man. Beth was in the Kitchen making supper. I looked at him and in conversation asked " Curly, you getting hungry"?" He grinned and said, "just waiting on that cornbread to come out of the oven".
