To Linda Larkin -
As you know, I worked with Patsy when I first went to work at Eastman. We became close friends and even had our first children within a month or so of each other. They became playmates, and Patsy and I became even closer friends. We also played bridge together for some time.
Then Patsy and Wayne moved to Church Hill and we just drifted apart. I guess it just seemed so far away. I then went back to work at Eastman, so an occasional gabfest in the aisles of Wal-Mart was the most I saw of her.
The oddest thing happened the day before the first notice appeared in the paper. I started thinking about Patsy and decided that now that we were both widows and grandmothers, I should give her a call and plan to get together with her. I was stunned to read the paper the next day and figure out she had been ill. I wish so much that I had known.
She was everything it said in the obituary and more. Even though we almost never saw each other any more, my world has been made smaller by her death. The fact that I can't now renew that friendship saddens me so.

My beautiful Aunt Patsy was not only a wonderful aunt, but my dear friend. We have shared so many funny and touching moments just in the past two years. She was a true lady and a loving friend. This world is more special having had her to share it with. While I will miss her terribly, I rejoice in knowing she is in the nearer presence of our Lord. The blessing has been all mine, my dear friend and aunt. I first got to know Patsy when I was 11 years old and we shared a trip to Florida along with my Uncle Wayne, Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Joyce, Uncle Dickie, Aunt Hope, my dear sister cousin Brenda, my cousin Tony and my grandparents Isaac & Salina Dean. Those days are special happy memories that I carry in my heart forever. Thank you Patsy for being my special friend and blessing my life!
Randy
